As for Facebook, as I mentioned earlier I changed my password using a school computer on Sunday, and that seems to have worked, though I've only been logging on to Facebook when using a school computer since then.
I'm afraid that if the spyware that stole my password in the first place is still on my desktop recall, on Wednesday Kaspersky identified two infected objects still on my computer then logging on from there will just allow it to steal the new password as well, bringing me back to square 1, so I've been avoiding that. Likewise, I haven't been doing anything financial-wise on any computer for fear of spyware stealing my identity.
Yet again, thank you very much for your support. Regarding System Restore, it is never a good idea to turn it off, an infected restore point is better than none at all. If for any reason your computer crashed and burned and we needed to do a restore to get back up and running, what would we do. At least even with an infected RP we can get the system running and re-clean the infection later. Having more than one anti-virus patching into the system kernel will not only destabilize a system, it can corrupt system files and can cause crashes or system freezes!

This the best Antimalware programm available. Alright, now the only antivirus software I have running, I think, is AVG , Malewarebytes antimalware, and, hopefully, windows' firewall.
As for other problems, the other day I attempted to update my copy of windows live messenger, and this resulted in AVG identity theft protection finding a threat that it strongly suggested I move to the virus vault which I did I'm wondering if this is a false positive, since windows live messenger is not, I would think, a virus, though of course it could have been a virus cleverly disguised to look like something official made by the Windows Live team. I ran a scan with AVG afterwards, but it didn't find any more viruses.

Furthermore, another problem that I forgot to mention entirely, but which has also been going on since long before the virus appeared, is the issue of firefox not shutting down properly. Normally I have multiple tabs open on firefox at once, and when I close firefox it gives me the option to save these tabs and quit, which I almost always choose to do.
It seems to close properly, however if I then later try to re-open firefox without having turned off the computer in the intervening time a message box arises telling me that firefox is already running and thus has to be exited before I can start it again.
